Qur’an 71:10–12 · Abu Dawud 1518

Our days live on screens now.

The question is not whether we will be on screens. It is whether the screens will let us remember.

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ

Every one of those hours runs on His provision. Let the screen that earns your living also remind you to thank the One who provides it.

فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا

Every so often, Astaghfirullah mists onto the page, lingers a few seconds, and dissolves like a cloud. One click counts it, or simply let it pass. No sound, no badge, no guilt.

Everyone knows what Z does.
This is the other one.

Press Alt Z — or Control Z on a Mac — wherever you are, whatever is on screen. A small glass pill counts up beside you and mists away. Nothing you were doing moves.

It is not the real undo and never will be. Ctrl Z on Windows, Z on a Mac · both stay exactly where they are. We would not take those from you.

Though undo only takes things back.

فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ

“…for those, Allah will replace their evil deeds with good ones.”

Why Istighfar?

Seeking forgiveness is not only wiping the slate clean. The Qur’an ties it directly to barakah, provision, and growth.

“Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perfect Forgiver. He will send the sky upon you in abundant rain, and extend to you wealth and children, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers.”

Qur’an 71:10–12

Rain and provision

Abundance from the sky, sustenance arriving from where you least expect it.

Qur’an 71:11

Wealth, children, gardens

Growth in what you hold dear, family, livelihood, and everything you cultivate.

Qur’an 71:12

A way out of every worry

“Whoever remains constant in seeking forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every hardship and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide for him from where he does not expect.”

Abu Dawud 1518

One remedy, four complaints.

Four men came to Hasan al-Basri. One complained of drought, another of poverty, a third that he had no children, a fourth that his garden would not grow. To each he gave the same answer: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.” When asked why one remedy for four problems, he recited the verses of Surah Nuh above: rain, wealth, children, and gardens are all tied to istighfar.

Related in Ibn Kathir’s tafsir of Surah Nuh

“By Allah, I seek the forgiveness of Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.”

The Prophet ﷺ · Sahih al-Bukhari 6307

Questions, answered

Does it read my browsing history?

No. The extension never reads, stores, or transmits anything about the pages you visit. Reminder timing is decided entirely on your device. The only data that can leave your machine is your daily count, and only if you sign in.

Will it interrupt videos or meetings?

No. Reminders stay silent while a video is playing, while you are in fullscreen, and while you are typing in any text field. You can also set quiet hours or pause reminders entirely.

Do I need an account?

No account and no password. You verify an email address once: we send a 6-digit code, or you tap the button in that same email, and your reminders begin on that browser. There is no second login anywhere: the dashboard recognises you from the extension, and on a browser without it the same code signs you in.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Istighfar.club is free: every mode, your goals, streaks, and the dashboard. Remembrance should not sit behind a price.

Why do you ask for my email?

It is how a browser is activated, and it is the only thing we ask of you. We store your email, an identifier for each activated browser, and the approximate country and city our host derives from the connection. We never store your IP, never ask your browser for precise location, and never read anything about the pages you visit.
