Istighfar.club is a free browser extension and website that reminds you to make istighfar and counts how often you do. Using either means accepting what is below. It is short because there is not much to it.

It is free

There is no charge, no trial, and nothing to cancel. You verify an email address once so the extension knows it is yours; that is the whole of the account. If payments ever appear they will be for something additional, and remembrance itself will not be behind one.

It is offered as it is

We do our best to keep it working and we will not promise it always will. Reminders depend on your browser being open and awake, and on Chrome deciding to wake the extension; counts are kept in your own browser first and backed up to our server after. If something breaks you may lose reminders. We have built it so that you do not lose counts, and that is the part we take seriously.

What we ask of you

Use your own email address. Do not try to break the service or to reach other people’s data through it. Do not use it in a way that would put us in breach of somebody else’s terms, such as the Chrome Web Store’s.

The religious content

Qur’an and hadith shown in the extension and on this site are quoted with their sources so you can check them. Nothing here is a religious ruling and nothing here replaces a scholar. If you find an error in a citation, tell us and we will correct it.

Your data, and leaving

What is stored and why is set out on the privacy page. You can delete everything we hold about you from your dashboard, at any time, without asking us. That removes your membership, every day of counts and your lifetime total. Uninstalling the extension stops it entirely.

Ending it

You can stop using it whenever you like. We may withdraw access from an account that is being used to attack the service or other people; short of that, we will not take it away from you.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Nothing here is retroactive.
